From a Sash to a Sister

I can't believe the time is finally here. Tomorrow I will enter the MTC in Provo as Hermana Nye for six weeks and then off to New Mexico speaking Spanish for the rest of my mission. Where has the time gone?! I feel like I should be nervous, but right now all I feel is peace and excitement! It has been almost 6 months since I decided to give up my dream of becoming Miss America and pursue this new dream. The decision to give up my title and shot at Miss Idaho again was NOT easy, but I know that the next 18 months will show me that I made the right decision. Two days ago I gave my farewell talk, and I could not believe the love and support I felt. Not only did friends drive down from Rexburg to see me, my sweet little sister Syrena at Miss Idaho came down with her dad, as well as my many other friends and family members. It will be a day I will never forget. This is going to be a short post, but there are still a few things to pack so I better get on it :)

*This will be my blog for my journey the next year and a half. I am pretty sure I will be able to blog, if not I will have my sister post them for me.
