Baptismos
This is going to be really quick…sorry ahead of time. These
stories will be better in real life anyway! :) Just remind me about Refugio's
baptism.
Refugio’s baptism was definitely the highlight of the week.
We have been teaching her since Sister Oxley was here...crazy! She was the only
investigator we were still teaching from my first transfer. I am very glad we kept working with her,
because she is such a sweet person. We had Elder Krebs do the baptism...he is
super tall (that was such a bad idea). Lets just say that the water was cold
(partly the building's fault) and there was a super awkward size difference
between the two. There were a lot of arms flailing and yelling. When we got her
changed and back into the room she said, "Peroname por mis gritas."
or “Sorry for yelling”. Everyone giggled at her. She kept talking really loudly
during the service as well.
Refugio is pretty darn funny!
Refugio was glowing at her baptism!
We put lip gloss on her and she loved it! :)
Practicing the baptism...somehow it didn't help.
The other family that got baptized was the Family Cruz. They
waited seven months to be baptized, long story, but it finally happened. Elder
Stewart (or should I say Daniel) came from Utah to do the baptisms. We love
that family so much! He is actually coming out with us tonight.
We set baptismal dates with Olga and her two little
girls...they are coming along. We should have two baptisms this weekend,
Alfredo and Soledad. They are adorable!
One of my other favorite
sister missionaries on P-Day. Her name is Sister Barnard. She is English speaking and we
get along so well.
Kirsten and Sister March, thank you so much for the package!
I LOVED IT! You are the sweetest. You will be hearing from me soon! :)
Hollister, I love you bud.
Happy birthday this week! I am sad I won't be there for your baptism,
but you just remember how important it is to serve the Lord and I will be fine.
:) Love you tons budd!
Sorry this is so short...I will talk to you so soon! LOVE
YOU!
