Service and Pudding!
HELLO FAM and FRIENDS! This week was great! I don't feel like it
was too out of the ordinary, but I will try and write some of the best things
that happened. It has been super easy for Sister Gubeli and I to work together
because we already know each other. :) It is way fun.
We were able to do two exchanges this week. One with Sister Bietler on Wednesday. She is super cute and fun! She is only 19 but really is super strong and is doing so awesome. We had a lot of fun contacting people and spending the day together. She didn’t get to help me teach a ton, because the lessons were in Spanish but she tried to offer scriptures that I could use. OH! She taught me about hot pudding…soooo yummy. And I had some frozen whipped topping that we put in it with bananas. DELISH!
Sister Bietler and I visited Cuca. She is doing ok…back to drinking coffee. I promised her so directly that if she would follow ALL of the things we are teaching her, that her husband would accept the gospel and be ok with her getting baptized. We finally met Herman, Susana’s husband! That is huge, because the only thing holding them back as a family is him. He isn’t against us by any means, but he just wants his family in Juarez on the weekends. Susana is so solid and ready to be baptized. Their date is still the third, so pray that they can stay and come to church the next two weekends, or else their date will have to be bumped L
The next day, Thursday, was another exchange with one of my favorite sisters ever, Sister Johnson! I admire her so much. She is SUCH an example to her family and is so loving and personal. A super big miracle happened on exchanges. Cristina had us come over and help her do service and she came up to me and said, “It is time for Shadha and I to be baptized.” I was freaking out and then I said, “OF COURSE IT IS! J What day are you thinking, beginning of May?” She said, “NO, sooner, the end of this month!” That is the last time I let any other rejections I have had weaken my faith in people getting baptized earlier rather than later. It was amazing. We are hoping and praying that Sister Fallentine can somehow come.
My back has been killing me this week, ever since we went running last Monday and Sister Miller told me to go to the chiropractor. We did and we met an Elder Pope who apparently knows Uncle Nate and the Kelseys really well. It was fun to chat with him about you guys.

Service with Sister Johnson
Luis, our little Alzheimer’s guy should be getting baptized the 26th
as well. J He is remembering
everything really well and they took him off of coffee finally.
Cristina and Shadha made it to a baptismal service and it really
got them excited about everything. Those were definitely all of the highlights
from the week.
My favorite lady ever! Hermana Diaz literally has a heart of
gold...no joke! She is incredible. And she is always giving us stuff, but that
is not why is she so awesome although it helps. :) She is just so strong and wants
to share the gospel with everyone!
Random side-note: Hermana Gubeli and my favorite thing to do in
the car is to try and translate all of our favorite songs into Spanish as they
are playing. There is a Hillary Week’s song that is super fun to do it to. J Good practice.
LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
