Last Week in El Paso!
I am heading to my third area! It is nuts, but I am excited for a fresh start. I am pretty sure I will have a native Spanish speaking companion which will be so exciting! And if I am guessing right, Ana (my first convert baptism) will be in the branch! How fun!
Since I didn’t write last week I will give you a quick update. We were able to go to the temple (amazing) as well as have an amazing training at MLC by some men from the missionary department. They talked about how getting a no to the baptismal invite is not a bad thing. It means you can figure out the person’s needs. That is why we have to be inviting every lesson…good stuff.
We spent some good time walking this week and were able to talk to tons of people. When I walk, I hold the “Libro de Mormon” perfectly so all the cars driving by can see what it is. I am not ashamed one bit. Then we walked all the way from Indian Spring to Mary Thompson’s house. We were going to go home to eat, but she fed us instead. She is so stinking sweet! We had manzanita and ice cream….my favorites.
Thought I would be able to make my black shoes last...but they didn't! They stayed in El Paso.
