Miracles
This week was fantastic! We had WAY too much fun being in "the terrible trio.” We saw SO many miracles and were able to work the two areas
just fine. We taught more lessons than ever and found eight new investigators
and were so blessed to have six investigators at church! It was also
Ana’s first Sunday as Primary President.
We made huge progress with Olivia this week. She came to church and
even paid a fast offering. She decided that she would fast to know if Joseph
Smith was a prophet and if the Book of Mormon was true. The church service was
a lot better this week for her as well when it comes to the themes of
everything. She still won’t set a baptismal date, but she reads tons every time
we come and she is getting to know more and more members.
I was so sad finding out that the sweetest lady in our ward, Hermana
Trevizo, who was in Rio Grande when I was there as well, has cancer. She has
had it since December and hasn’t told like anyone. She is the must humble
sweetest lady I have ever met. She can’t hear, but she loves to come out with
us and she works at the temple cleaning. When she joined the church as a young
mom with her kids, her husband left her…talk about sacrifice. She really is
such a sweet lady and I love her tons!
We had a cool miracle teaching one of the English sister’s
investigators. This lady ALSO has cancer and is just thirsting for the gospel.
We had a church tour with her and then afterwards had a little lesson. When we
went into the chapel the Spirit was so strong. She kept saying, “I feel like I
am home.” I felt like we were on the district or something J During the lesson
afterwards she started having a seizure from the medicine she takes. She
started shaking so I grabbed her hands, Sister Wilkinson then offered such a
sweet prayer and right when she said amen, Catana stopped shaking. She knew
that God had done that. It was such a cool thing to witness.
There
are too many people at the computers today, so we have to go. Plus, we are
taking greenies contacting today so our Pday is going to be cut short. But I
love you all...keep sharing the gospel We are doing a 40 day fast and only listening
to Mo-Tab. YIPPEE! We know that we will get tons of blessings!
