P-days = Not Resting Days :)

This last Monday I was kind of being stupid and decided to play on my foot. I didn't REALLY play. I was still in my skirt and everything, but I decided to play around the world and a couple of other games. What can I say?  J We went all the way to the stake center, and I have a hard time saying no if it is bball. I came home a winner Dad...not at around the world but at this soccer game. Dad, you would have been proud! Elder Stewart was going home and bought us all pizza. It was really nice. Then we headed back and went to work.

Just so you all know, P-days really aren't resting days...very rarely do we get to rest! Today we might get to rest a little. Needless to say, last week I regretted playing on my foot! The next day I was SO sore. By now it is feeling a ton better, but where the doctor cut in my foot is such a tender spot. I am as usual a fast walker according to my companion. I feel bad sometimes, because I am so much taller than her that she really has to get her feet moving to keep up.  I couldn't ask for a sweeter companion. I love her to pieces!

Last week we didn't talk to nearly as many people as we wanted to with all the planning for our first baptism, so we decided that this week we would kill it! And we did! :) We talked to SO many people. At first it is so hard to just start talking to people, but once you do it, it is sooo much easier. The other day we tried to do finding in Pro's Ranch Market! I am not a very good actress when it comes to this stuff, but Pro's Ranch Market is bursting full of Hispanic people. :) I actually really like to buy groceries from there. Anyway, we got a cart trying to act like we were going to buy stuff and went on our way. So we started walking down aisles, up and down. We were both being babies haha...then I went for it! It wasn't too bad. You just have to act like you are going to make salsa and ask women for recipes, or compliment them on something, or ask them where something is. I feel so deceitful but that's the only way to do it without getting kicked out. :)

On Tuesday....oh man...Tuesday was awesome. One of our investigators Maria wanted to come out with us on visits! She was so great! She came out for a FEW hours and was basically teaching "Sabbath Day." It was so great to see.

Ana's little brother, Jorge (just like you pops), is getting baptized this weekend! He is only 14 and is so stinking cute and shy. He came to church this last week as well as Young Men’s. He is going to love it, and I just love how strong their whole family is. The mom still isn't baptized, but their other sister has been a member for a year (is preparing to go through the temple with her husband) and came out with us on some visits the other day as well! I just love these people!

Ana's little four year old, Isaac, is a doll! He is such a handful, but he is so cute! I gave him some stickers and there were some smiley faces on them. He put one on his hand and then said in the cutest Spanish ever "Quieres un mano feliz Mami?" I about died. Maybe it doesn't sound as cute written out, but that was a sweet moment. The Sister Training Leaders from down south came to stay with us, because they had training the next day. It was fun to meet more Spanish sisters. One is from Burley...go figure! And we know some of the same people. Earlier in her mission, she was teaching Ana so she was so stoked to find out she finally got baptized.

On Thursday, we taught the Bible Class. We came up with this really cute way to teach the Fall of Adam and Eve. We had chocolate of knowledge (it sounds better in Spanish "chocolate de conocimiento") and when someone finally ate, they had to move into the other room where they received enfermedades, dolor, mortalidad, felicidad etc....basically opposition. :) It was really cute and the Cruz family was the only family there.

Another cute young girl from the ward came out with us on visits...too bad hardly anyone was home! That is always rough when members finally come out with you and then we hardly teach. Members really don't like finding too much, but then they realized\ how hard it is and feel bad for us and come out again!  I think members come out with us sometimes because they feel bad for us on our bikes...plus they just love us!;)

We have two new zone leaders and elders in our ward. They are great! And we have one new sister in our ward as well. They are all super nice.  I miss you so much. Thank you all so much for the prayers. I know now more than ever that I am supposed to be here right now. All of the experiences I have had in my life have prepared me for this moment and I couldn't be happier.  I could be better rested…but couldn't be happier!
