Exchanges!
Last Monday we had our first FHE with La Familia Roblero and
Laura Mendoza and her kid. It was super sweet!
Hermana Roblero makes THE BEST food! NO JOKE! Next Monday we are going
over to her house for lunch and she said she would show us how to make some of
our favorite dishes with her special recipes.
This week we had intercambios (exchanges). I left the area
and my poor companion had to run this place on her own with a sister who didn't
know ANY Spanish. She did so great though! I have been trying to get her to
make phone calls for weeks, but she hasn't wanted to. But, she had to when I
left! :) It is amazing how fast Spanish comes along. I think I don't realize it
as much, because it is so gradual, but every day we learn so much.
Exchanges were really cool...we taught young single adults
and had a car. THAT was weird and very nice. I actually got to use my Spanish a
little that day. Ended up passing by a family and talking to them. We were
trying to talk to their daughter. She should be attending the branch, but
isn't. The boy is about 16 and likes basketball. At first the dad and son were
very naughty with us...then we talked to them more. I told them that I loved
basketball and ended up showing them that Tyler Haws Mormon Message. They loved
it. :) So cool when you can relate to people and it helps them open up to the
gospel.

Updates on investigators:
Maria came to church! We have been praying like crazy that her schedule would change...and it did! She told us she was so confused about why it changed, and when we told her that we had been praying she thought that was really neat.

We had a member, Veronica, come with us to see Elsa and it made a world
of difference. They have gone through similar experiences.
Veronica comes on visits with us a lot and is incredible. Took us out for pizza this week and comes out on visits with us a lot.
Sandra and Angeleec came to church as well for the first
time. Aflredo (the nine year old) also came!
So did Raul. There were close to
20 investigators at church yesterday...so neat! The work is moving forward!
Ana is getting baptized Saturday! :) We are so excited for
her!
Some of my favorite kids! Their grandma is active and usually brings them to church. We go visit the mom and family.
Apparently we are heavy walkers. Our neighbor down below
sent us a not so nice note! :) We are going to be walking on our tip toes this
next week!
Love you all! Sorry
this is so short...bad time management on my part. Next week, I will write
first!
