Exchanges

The weeks are flying! I want time to slow down. I am soaking in every minute though.
Hermana Venegas
A few fun things happened this week. We had exchanges which was way fun because when I was an STL in El Paso I used to go on exchanges with both of these sisters. We had a fantastic day! Miguel Luna prayed in front of us this week, which is HUGE progress for him. Deiri and Brandon are getting baptized this week! And Ana, my first baptism, wants to go to the temple before I leave. It is a miracle and the best thing ever. J I want to share Isabel Castillo’s conversion story that she shared in a lesson. It was so powerful. Isabel is Ana’s sister.
On exchanges!
She said that earlier in her life had had a dream about the end of the world. She described it with volcano’s, lightening, tons of stuff like that, and then light coming down and taking up the righteous people. In her dream she was waiting to be taken up (this part was kind of funny, she said she was expecting to get taken up) and then the sky closed and she was left there. She said she woke up feeling horrible. That began her search. She grew up in the Catholic church, but some things really kept her from it. Anyway, then she said they lived out in a ranch and didn’t go to church because the only church there was Catholic but in English. Then they moved to Albuquerque and she said she was praying extremely hard that God would show her a sign, especially because she would be in a big city with tons of churches. Three days after they moved in, elders knocked on their door. They are English elders so they arrange for Spanish to come. She had her doubts but basically knew from the beginning that it was true. She said that after the hermanos starting coming by, she had another dream just like she had had a long time ago about the end of the world, but this time was different. She said she couldn’t describe him to you or how he looks, but she saw Christ reaching his hand out to her. This part just gave me chills and made me cry. It was perfect for the lesson. I have been trying to write down conversion stories of members I meet, because they are just so beautiful. Just thought it might brighten your week!

A funny little "library " we found.  It said take one and leave one. So of course we left a Book of Mormon!! See if you can find it! :)

On Saturday, Olivia was able to come to a baptismal service and she loved it! She was saying "Amen" really loud after everything. She also left us a voice mail saying "en el nombre de Jesucristo. Amen" at the end! WE WERE DYING! She was so cute.  I videoed it...no worries. J

I look huge with Olivia!  We laugh at this picture every time!

LOVE YOU ALL! Que tengan una buena semana!
